About

Trained as a traditional painter, Amy Saidens began her illustration career in the late 90s at Microsoft’s now defunct sidewalk.com. There she was given the opportunity to transfer her tactile skills to a computer and a wacom tablet, and quickly went on to illustrate columns and articles for the hip website. Soon after, she became the pen behind the “Blissgirl”, creating over a dozen covers for the well-known spa catalog. Inspired by everything from vintage cookbooks to high fashion, her work can presently be seen in various lifestyle magazines, gift books and ad campaigns.

Amy has a BFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
